Radon Testing
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) highly recommend that homeowners test their houses for Radon.
Radon (Radon 222) is an odorless, colorless gas that comes from the soil and enters your home through various cracks and openings. High Radon levels are a concern because Radon is considered a Class A Carcinogen by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). High Radon levels may cause lung cancer. The only way to know if your home has high Radon levels is to test for it.
Latosky Inspection Company offers Radon Testing for $100.00, if included with the purchase of a Home Inspection, $125.00 if ordered separately. We use the Continuous Radon Monitoring Methodology, as well as Our monitors measure the levels of Radon in your home, once each hour, for a minimum of forty-six hours (per the PA DEP's guidelines). We then calculate the average level to give you your Radon result.
Scott Latosky is a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) Certified Radon Tester, Certification # 2124. You may verify Scott's certification by clicking here!
